The term now has become part of the fashion lexicon. It is the result of a hair product that is currently being pushed by Tre Milano and Co.
The product is a hair iron with a cylinder shaped polished metal that heats to varying degrees. The iron has a series of settings that allows the user to decide on the temperature of the heat. The iron spins at a decent Revolutions Per Minute to work through the hair so that the heated iron is not planted or clamped to the hair for too long and results in damage.
The results, according to the videos being shown throughout the web, are leading to the phrase: In Styler hair. These is certainly helping to sustain the growth of the product as it entrenches market share and courses its way to household notoriety.
The language behind products and product users goes way back. From “A diamond is a girls best friend” to “In Styler Hair,” we have seen that the marketing and advertising world is severely caught up in growing companies not solely through user response, but rather through a strong marketing push led by information shared between people. The combination of media press and celebrity press used to launch products anymore has changed the way we think about not only the beauty world, but also the world of fame.
Fame has become a vehicle for not only actors and musicians, but for products as well. How famous is your product is soon to be the question of the minds of all marketers? How can I drive a product that isn’t famous?
As weird as this all may sound, the world of marketing has changed dramatically since the advent of the net. The internet has turned the marketing world upside down. Creativity is a must, and the branding and naming of products are necessary for product makers to reach the masses and grow their lines.
Nowhere is this more apparent than in the beauty world. In Styler hair is just one of the many slogans that has caught on. J-lo is probably the most famous, though slogans are even replacing the partnership that is a couple. Instead of saying Brad and Angelina we say Brangelina.
Twenty years from now students will be studying this time trying to figure out the significance of the internet and marketing changes that came as a result. We are in the midst of an evolving business approach that awards serious creativity and super strong branding. The Instyler rotating iron is no different. It is just one of the many products that is being pushed with slogans and celebrities as strongly as it’s being pushed by its actual capabilities.
